How to Play
Simplified description of Caesar's Lions gameplay:
- From the 13 Gladiator cards dealt to you, choose 6 Defenders (face down on the table) and 7 Attackers (your hand).
- Take turns attacking opponent Defenders with your Attackers. You won't know what they are until you attack them - but once attacked, they remain revealed. Gladiator combat is resolved based on their weapons: sword breaks spear, spear penetrates net, net snares sword... but a defending lion defeats ANY Gladiator! If you win a matchup, continue; when you lose a matchup, your turn is over.
- When you can defeat all 6 of an opponent's defenders, that opponent is eliminated.
Caesar's Lions is quick to learn and easy to play – but true mastery requires cunning, timing and intuition.
